Hey, I'm Kate Halteh.

My heart has always been with horses- it was love at first sight. I was six months old and my parents had dressed me as a cowgirl to get my picture taken at the local general store. Just outside of the store was a small, bay paint pony complete with a pony-sized western saddle- it was the stuff of a little girl's dreams. Although I don't remember much more about that special day, I know that general store pony started it all for this horse girl.

Much later in life I fell in love with photography. With a camera loaned to me by my mom, I travelled a bit and took pictures of anything that moved me. It wasn't until recently, when I combined my love of photography with my lifelong love of horses, that I found my true passion- equine photography. Being able to illustrate (through my lens) the beauty of equine movement, the connection of horse and rider or a story untold is what truly excites me.

Born and raised in California, Kate is a Bay Area local and coastal girl at heart. She now has her roots planted just a few miles south of San Francisco with her husband and two little boys. When she's not behind the camera or at the beach with her family, you may find her behind a computer as a corporate professional for a global clothing retailer.
